1962 Topps Mars Attacks Non-Sports Vintage Trading Cards

Mars Attacks is a science fiction trading card series made in 1962 by Topps.

Mars Attacks is a story about the invasion of Earth by mean and disgusting Martians. The Martians used awkward methods to torture the humans. The cards were popular with children, but the cards contained inappropriate content, which caused the company to stop the production. They were so popular, that they became a collectors’ item.

Topps started making merchandise based on Mars Attacks. They made items such as mini comic books and card reprints.

Tim Burton filmed the first movie of Mars Attacks in 1996.

The story of Mars Attacks:
Martians land on Earth in flying saucers. The president alerts America about the arrival of the Martians. The Martians announce that they have “ come in peace.” Then, a hippie releases a white dove into the air, a symbol of peace. The Martians take it the wrong way and start to attack and kill the humans.

A Martian disguises itself as a woman and sneaks into the White House and attempts to kill the president, but fails. The Martians decide to destroy historical landmarks, and end up killing the president. Thankfully, a teenage boy found the Martians weakness, (the song Indian Love Call).

The Martians end up going back to Mars and the humans clean up the Martians’ mess and improve their usual lifestyle.
